Class Tasks
Gimble/ Steadicam
We were tasked to use a Gimble to create a short quick music video to a song of our choice. In the begging we were given a demonstration on how to use it, there are a few things that you would have to rember when using a gimble
1. Balance
2. Get some movement
3. Have something in the foreground
4. Get close
5. Plan the shot
and that is how to get the best quality footage from using a Gimble.
Keyframe animation
Explanation

This is the work that I did for this was fun and easy after I knew what I was doing, this is called key frame animation. The idea behind key frame animation is that you have a photo or multiple photos, and you have to create a story moving them around, the idea behind this is so that you get to have fun creating a fun story. The way that this was created was using premiere pro and inserted the background first so that the screen will be the whole screen that I have in the end product, then it was just the thought of getting all of the other photos to move and getting it to look smooth. This was a touch more difficult as I was unsure of how I wanted it to look and what movement was going to be added. After coming up with a plan for each of the different photos all I had to do was place each image into the sequence and doble tap on the image set the place to where I wanted it to be by pressing on to the little clock and from then on, the more time that moves you can move the image and it will place a dot to keep it in the sequence and then you can do whatever you want.
Edit to the beat
Explanation

This edit was creative and fun as it is something that I haven't done before, there were two different approaches that I could have taken with this. The first one is to edit the video to bits that you think could potentially go with the beat and then create markers to the beat using the 'M' key on your keyboard, then add all of it together to create a change of video with the beat of the song, on the contrary you could edit the music once again with the 'M' key creating markers the changing to cutting up the video then putting it all together trying to keep it in with the beat to create smooth transitions. After doing this you export the video if you are happy with your outcome.
Multi camera editing
Explanation

Synchronising audio and video, this was fun but took longer than anticipated. The way that I was able to create this I was given three different types of angles and the separate sound recording, to start this I highlighted all of the video and right clicked to make some different choices appear. I scrolled down and pressed on the synchronise button to get all of the videos to be in time with each other. After this was done, I unlinked the video from the audio, and replaced all of the standing audio with the audio that was recorded separately using an audio recorder. After that was done, I cut all of the extra video in the beginning to create a more professional feel to the video. Then it was just a choice of what shot type I wanted and where I wanted it all to go.
single camera
Single camera productions are very self-explanatory, the set up will only be using one camera to create the content that will be filmed. However, this does mean that it will take longer to film the content that you won't, many productions such as films, television and music videos mostly all film using this format. Here is an example:
multi camera angle
The multi-camera setup is the best way to have a successful production as this format can capture different perspectives on what you are capturing without the hassle of changing the angle or shot type. When it comes to time multi-cam prods are usually designed for 'one-take' productions, like a game or chat or show where you can only have certain exchanges play out once.
Podcast
Speak the music is the name of our music-based podcast we had three different groups, and we took it all in turns in planning recording and brain storming, our group was group A so this meant that we had to go first with filming so we were thinking on our feet and we had a very small amount of time to figure out what we wanted to make it about, this was fun as it was very spontaneous. All of the planning was done during the set-up time and we just jumped right in. The group consisted of Louis, Kai, Sophie, Charlie and Ryan. This group was differant but we worked quite well we figured out the topic that we wanted to do that was Tik Tok music, we all had some good ideas and were able to share our opinions.
1st take
This is our set up during our first take, this was the best set up we had as we did a second plan and came up with ways that we could improve but we also wanted to change up the set up as we thought it would be interesting to see other people's opinions.

Feedback
Feedback notes from the first video that we made:
- Set up
- Decided about base topic
- Maybe add audio
- Did some test runs
- Decided to use microphone props
- Did rather well first try
- Thinking about doing different shot types for the middle camera
2nd take

Feed back
Some of the ways that we could improve:
- Be less shy
- Talk more
- Try not to say the same things
Logo

This is the logo for the podcast that we have created, the idea behind this is that we will be talking about music and playing music according to the subject that we will be taking about in each episode.
Monochrome edit
The idea behind this video is to learn how to change the pigment of a video in this case my job was to change this colour full video in to black and white, this was easy I was given this task and I grabbed a random video off of Pexels and put it in to Adobe Premer Pro and went into the editing tool then went in to the colour page and just reduced all of the colour in this video.
Colour isolate
The idea behind this was to make the video black and white but keep one colour of our choice. This was more difficult than a lot of work that I have done as it is more complicated, Once I got the hang of it the idea of it seemed to be very easy. The way that this was done is very similar to the monochrome edit as in the way that you would make the screen black and white although you need to pick the colour that you want to stay on the video, and it doesn't have to be only in one space. But after you chose your colour and change the pigment of the rest of the video you should be redy to go.
Glow line
Explanation

This glow line activity was kind of weird, the idea is good, and it gets good results but the work behind it was hard as it is something that I have never done before. When it came to each frame adding each line and doing all separate things took a long time as it was very sensitive and to be able to make it look like the line was moving, I had to line up all of the individual lines together. I think in the end I had over 100 lines to create this video, but non the less I had fun and enjoyed the creative freedom I had creating this video.
Text based music video
This video was very hard, the concept of the writing being my handwriting on a piece of paper and change the saturation on the paper and then I needed to place the writing on to the page. I added a fade to the writing to go on and off the page and added music that was unnecessary, but it seemed to create a different vibe to the video. After that it was just a case of uploading it to YouTube.
Lighting
There are three different types of lights when it comes to any type of media this consists of key, fill and back There is a large difference with each type of light. We have key light this is the brightest light, because of this it is the main light as it covers more and tends to be in the middle to get the best results. Then you have the fill light this is the light that negates the shadows that are naturally created by the key light, this means that this light is less bright and is usually positioned opposite the key light. And last but not least we have the back light this light provides extra light on to the back of either the subject or actor, this light is positioned higher than the subject this keeps the background separate from the foreground.
Light illuminates everything around you as it contains its own 'colour temperature' depends on the difference source. The colour can change temperature as worm and cold this can be changed through the measurement of Kelvin (K) degrees this can be done on a scale from 1,000K to 10,000K. When it comes to Films and TV there is a recommended measurement this is called 'white balance'.

This is all the research that was done as a class we went through all the context for unit 9 and showed what each person understood from each part of unit 9.
